Getting the most out of your dashboard

A tour of the MedPros student dashboard: how to resume lectures, open your mocks and practice drills, spot upcoming live classes, track progress and keep your account safe.

Important

Your dashboard is the one place where everything tied to your MedPros account lives — enrolments, scores, live classes and profile. If a recent purchase is missing, confirm you are signed in with the same email you used at checkout and refresh once before contacting support.

What the dashboard is for

The dashboard is the shortest path between you and whatever you paid for. Whether you studied last night after a shift in Lahore or caught a recording this morning in Karachi, it is designed so you can continue in two taps.

  • The top of the page summarises your learning week — active courses, quizzes due for review, and anything that needs attention (for example an unpaid invoice or an unverified email).
  • Every purchased course appears as a tile with progress, next lecture, and quick links to its mocks and practice drills.
  • Live classes surface in Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) with an additional label for diaspora users.
  • Scrolling down surfaces suggestions — similar or complementary courses based on what you already study, plus any courses you recently viewed but did not buy.

Continue where you left off

The "Continue watching" card is the fastest way back into a lecture.

  • It remembers the exact second you paused, so you do not have to scrub the video to find your place.
  • If you watched on a phone last night and open the laptop today, the position syncs as long as both devices are signed in.
  • The card is hidden when you have nothing in progress — a clean dashboard for learners between cohorts.
  • Tip for mobile users on data: start playback on Wi‑Fi when possible, and lower quality if the player offers it — evening peak hours in Pakistan often throttle video.

My courses

The "My courses" grid lists every active entitlement you have. Each tile shows:

  • Course title, thumbnail and the instructor's name.
  • A progress ring or percent — useful for checking how far you are through a long FCPS program.
  • "Days remaining" when the course has a fixed access window (for example a 90‑day cohort).
  • Clear "Open course" or "View intro" buttons so you never guess where to click.

Normal courses (lectures + quizzes) and practice courses (drill‑only pathways) are separated visually so you do not open a practice pack thinking it is your main program.

If a paid course is missing, scroll to the bottom of "My courses" — sometimes a newly activated cohort shows up on a separate row during its first hour. If it is still missing after a refresh, sign out and back in, then message support.

Upcoming live classes

The live‑classes strip tells you when your next session starts and how to join it.

  • Times are shown in PKT by default, with an additional marker for UTC if you are abroad.
  • When a class is within the next 30 minutes, the "Join" button becomes active — clicking it opens the meeting (usually Zoom) in a new tab.
  • If the instructor shares a recording, the same card updates to "Watch recording" after the class ends. Recordings are also available inside the course.
  • If your product supports calendar export, you can add the session to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook with one tap — that is the fastest way to stop the "what time is class?" WhatsApp thread.

Quizzes and scores

The quiz section gives you three shortcuts:

  • Latest incomplete attempt — resume a mock or a practice drill you did not finish.
  • Highest‑priority mock — the next scheduled mock for any paper you are preparing for, weighted by the exam date you entered in your profile.
  • All scores — a table of every attempt across every course, so you can spot patterns (for example, always scoring low on Pharmacology).

A good weekly rhythm is one new mixed quiz early in the week and one review‑only day later in the week. The dashboard will nudge you in this direction without being noisy about it.

Announcements and reminders

Short, dismissable cards appear at the top of the dashboard for things you need to act on:

  • A new grand mock is uploaded for your course — "Take it this week".
  • A schedule change because of a PKT public holiday or weather closure.
  • A receipt reminder when your employer asked for invoices.
  • An unverified phone number that we need to approve your next device.

Tapping "Dismiss" hides the card; tapping anywhere else takes you to the full detail.

Account and device safety

The profile menu in the top right is the shortest path to:

  • Your profile — name, photo, city, profession and exam goal. Keeping this accurate means the dashboard suggests the right courses and live classes.
  • Change password — takes you to the same flow described in /v2/help/reset-password.
  • Device management — see which phones, tablets and browsers are currently allowed on your paid courses. Remove a device you no longer use to free a slot.
  • Sign out — closes the session on this device only. Use this on shared computers.

One golden rule: never share OTPs or passwords with anyone, including someone claiming to be MedPros staff. Real staff will never ask for them.

Frequently asked questions

Q: My payment succeeded but the course is not on my dashboard. A: Activation is usually instant but can take a few minutes during cohort launches. Refresh the dashboard once, then sign out and back in. If it is still missing after 15 minutes, message support with your order ID and we will activate it manually.

Q: I cannot see the "My courses" section at all. A: That means there are no active entitlements on the account. Check that you signed in with the same email you used at checkout — many learners accidentally create a second account using a different email provider.

Q: Where do I find my receipts and invoices? A: Profile menu → "My orders". Each order lists the course, amount, payment method and a downloadable PDF invoice.

Q: Can I change my registered email address? A: Yes, from Profile. We send a confirmation email to both the old and new addresses to make sure nobody hijacks your account — follow the link in both to finish.

Q: What happens to my progress when a cohort ends? A: Your progress, quiz attempts and scores are kept on the account even after access expires. If you extend your enrolment later, you will pick up exactly where you left off.

Q: Can two people share one account? A: Technically it works until the device‑approval limit kicks in — and then it blocks the legitimate owner too. Please do not share credentials; it is against our terms and, more importantly, it ruins the experience for you.
